Renee Zellweger In Tommy Hilfiger – Tommy Hilfiger’s limited edition BHI handbag Launch

Renee Zellweger was in Milan yesterday to help launch the new Tommy Hilfiger limited edition BHI bag.

The star who’s known to only wear Carolina Herrera, stepped out of her comfort zone to wear 3 Tommy Hilfiger looks.

Renee arrived at the press conference for the new BHI bag looking chic and ready for spring wearing a red Tommy Hilfiger trench coat, which she paired with Jimmy Choo ‘Quiet’ patent peep-toes.

She revealed a periwinkle and navy Tommy Hilfiger Spring 2011 mini dress which she teamed with a navy cardigan.

It’s super short, but as we all know Renee loves to show off her toned legs.

Renee did another quick changed for the cocktail party and dinner later that evening.

She added a touch of glamour to the occasion wearing an emerald green silk taffeta strapless cocktail dress with grosgrain waistband, which is from a limited edition Tommy Hilfiger collection.

Christian Louboutin Pigalle Plato patent leather pumps completed her look.

I love the blue dress. Which was your favourite?

Qin Hailu In Burberry Prorsum – Chinese Film Panorama 2011

Actresses Qin Hailu and Irene Wan attended a dinner during Chinese Film Panorama 2011 at Marriott Hotel in Hong Kong yesterday.

Qin grabbed my attention wearing a Burberry Prorsum Resort 2012 dress.

I’m sure I’ve mentioned just once or twice how obsessed I am with the tribal prints from this collection, so I’m very excited to see this look on the red carpet.

The dress has a nude top and a printed skirt which mimics a West African mudcloth wrap skirt as it sits high on the waist.

The fact that she paired her dress with the those beaded shoes from the same collection just makes me love this look even more.

Mulberry Spring 2011

Of all the presentations I’ve attended this week, the Mulberry Spring 2011 presentation was the most fun.

It was held on the roof top of Soho House and we were served champagne and Victoria sponge cakes which came served in a cute floral boxes.

All the models who walked the runway sported red wigs, no doubt a ode to Florence Welch who was front row at the presentation.

Emma Hill was inspired by Frances Hodgson Burnett’s “The Secret Garden” and the film “Gray Gardens.”

It seems like the Mulberry girl has grown up.

We still saw the girlie dresses we love from Mulberry, but they were mixed with some more formal pieces like a chestnut boucle jacket coordinated with a matching skirts, high-waisted pants and chic trench coats.

The key accessories were the shoes and bags.

Booties, wedges and sandals which all had a wooden sole and were accented with giant studs or oversized buckles.

The Bayswater bag was presented in chestnut alongside an oversized Alexa bag in plum and the Tillie drawstring shoulder bag which came in a pale blue washed denim.

After viewing this collection I’ve grown that much fonder of Mulberry bags. Every season I buy one bags. For Spring 2011 that bag will be the oversized Alexa plum tiger print bag.

Front Row: Florence Welch, Alexa Chung, Anna Dello Russo and Olivia Palermo

Favourites: The plum leather jacket with sateen skirt, the electric blue ensemble above and the all over bow dress which closed the show

Who I See Wearing This Collection: Olivia Palermo, Molly Sims, Emma Stone, Alexa Chung, Florence Welch, Agyness Deyn, Diana Vickers, Cheryl Cole

Wow Watch Wednesday: Antoine Martin Tourbillon Quantieme Perpetuel

Antoine Martin Tourbillon Quantieme Perpetuel

It’s not often that you see a young brand find its feet so quickly especially in the fiercely competitive luxury watch industry. Newcomer Antoine Martin has done exactly that however unveiling a very impressive 2012 collection at Baselworld this year including the gorgeous Tourbillon Quantième Perpétuel a complex timepiece that features both a flying tourbillon and perpetual calendar.

Antoine Martin – The Man Behind The Brand
Arguably it could be said that Antoine Martin has a few unfair advantages over other young brands looking to break into the industry and one in particular has certainly tipped the balance in their favor. His name is Martin Braun.

Don’t be surprised if you’re familiar with the name already you should be. With over 30 years experience in this incredibly tough industry Martin is a trained Master Watchmaker and qualified design engineer. Much of that time was spent building a highly successful watch brand bearing his own name which was eventually acquired by the Franck Muller Group.

After what can perhaps best be described as a tumultuous period in his professional career – during which his namesake was eventually shut down by the new owners – Braun founded a new company odm diamond watches replica michele Manufacture Horlogère Obwalden in 2009 with the declared aim of realizing his idea for his own watch movement featuring the Swiss club-tooth lever escapement he had developed himself. What would follow were two years of research development and plenty of good old-fashioned hard work culminating in the creation of the first Antoine Martin movement oem watches developed and manufactured entirely in-house.

Fast-forward to Baselworld 2012 and the brand was ready to introduce its first piece of haute horology to the world; the Tourbillon Quantième Perpétuel.

Antoine Martin Tourbillon Quantieme Perpetuel

The Tourbillon Quantième Perpétuel
One of the first things that stood out to me looking at this new timepiece was just how evenly balanced the dial is. There is an inherent symmetry in the design that I find quite appealing and this somehow manages to accentuate the prominent flying tourbillon without causing it to become overpowering.

Of course at an impressive 14.1mm there is really no missing this captivating miniature whirlwind which has been placed as close to the sapphire crystal as possible to ensure the wearer fully appreciates the visual feast on show at it completes its one minute journey. What is even more remarkable however is that at just 0.62 grams this particular tourbillon is the lightest in the world relative to its size. No mean feat to achieve and for sure a testament to the exceptional talents of Braun and his team.

To accommodate such a large tourbillon cage and also to achieve that sense of symmetry I was referring to earlier the timepiece has been created as a regulator meaning that the minutes and hours are displayed on separate dials. In this case the hours are shown on a smaller sub-dial located between 9 and 10 o’clock whilst the minutes are displayed on the outer ring of the main dial. Seconds are indicated via the flying tourbillon although there are no specific markings to allow for accurate tracking.

At about 3 o’clock we find the retrograde date display part of the highly useful yet understatedly complex perpetual calendar complication. This is complemented by the remaining displays for the calendar including the day month and leap-year indicators found at the top of the dial.

Antoine Martin Tourbillon Quantieme Perpetuel

Animated by the in-house manually wound calibre 39.002 this bold new timepiece is offered initially in your choice of an 18k rose or white gold case with either a black or brown alligator strap. The white gold version features a dark gray dial while the dial rose gold model is predominantly silver.

The Final Word
I must say that I am really quite taken by bold new timepiece from Antoine Martin. Certainly not a shrinking violet in any sense of the word it defiantly announces the arrival of a serious new entrant into the world of high-end watchmaking and backs up the claim with exceptional quality and craftmanship. It’s complicated without being over the top and the certain sense of masculinity that resonates throughout the design causes it to stand out without overtly calling for attention. Undoubtedly it will not suit all tastes but I really do recommend a closer look.

The Girls Are Doing It For Themselves (And Rag & Bone)

For its guerrilla campaign, which hit the streets of New York—following a very brief snowstorm delay—this week, Rag & Bone put cameras into the hands of some of its favorite models and told them to have a ball. Edita Vilkeviciute and Sasha Pivovarova took to the beach, Abbey Lee Kershaw to the shower, Lily Aldridge to the tequila shot—suffice it to say, a good time was had by all. When we helped break the news of the project, we ran a little teaser video to whet your models-in-hot-weather appetite. Now check out the exclusive debut of the full video below, shot by the models and their friends on location. Should more snow be on the forecast for this weekend, you can at least imagine a sunnier (and more Sasha and Edita-filled) clime. The DIY project gets its own Web site this February 7 at www.rag-bone.com.

Rose McGowan Front Row Queen @ New York Fashion Week Spring 2012

Rose McGowan takes the ‘Leigh Lezark Spring 2012 NYFW Front Row Queen’ Award for attending the most fashion shows during the Spring 2012 presentations during New York Fashion Week.

The actress sat front row at no less than six shows in incredibly chic ensembles that put her firmly on our style radar.

Ruffian: Rose looked super sophisticated in her elegant cream skirt suit which she paired with a printed blouse. She added a pop of colour with her red Brian Atwood ‘Maniac’ pumps (a huge current trend) and a black and white houndstooth print Ferragamo bag. Pretty coral lipstick provided the finishing touch.

Helmut Lang: The actress chose a Helmut Lang ensemble which included a bright pair of citrus orange jeans toned down with neutral pieces for the Helmut Lang presentation. She added a light grey cowl neck, long-sleeved top with a matching waistcoat, a stone-coloured tasseled clutch and grey suede Rag & Bone ankle booties to her ensemble. Pink lips and a silver Toywatch timepiece completed her more casual look.

Honor: Rose picked a feminine silver leaf-printed Honor dress which she paired with sheer black Wolford tights and silver ankle strap heels. She wore her hair in pretty curls and added fuchsia pink lips and Tom Binns Design bracelet to her girly ensemble.

Who Wore Vanessa Bruno Better? Rachel Bilson or Hilary Duff

Rachel Bilson was spotted out in Santa Monica back in February in this perfectly styled outfit featuring a coral crepe Vanessa Bruno jacket with structured shoulders.

She displayed her sartorial skills by pairing the jacket with a pretty draped nude dress, Maison Martin Margiela open-toe boots, Pamela Love ‘Quartz Tribal’ necklace, Ray Ban shades and a quilted Chanel bag.

A half-up, half-down style completed her look.

Exactly 4 months later Hilary Duff wore the same jacket whilst out shopping in LA.

She went for a more casual approach by pairing the jacket with denim cut-offs à la Britney Spears, a slashed white tank top and white pointed heels.

She accessorized with Victoria Beckham’s ‘Audrey’ oval frame sunglasses in forest green, a cream quilted Chanel bag and an Hermés ‘Bearn’ leather wallet.

For me, there’s no competition here and Rachel is definitely getting my vote.

I love her chic outfit and the perfect accessories she added to this look.

I think the sophisticated qualities of the jacket are lost in Hilary’s outfit and a standout piece such as this definitely deserves better shoes.

Blasblog: Margherita Missoni’s Venetian Runway

With most of the fashion world in New York the past few days, we almost forgot that there were chic happenings in other parts of the globe. Take Venice, where the 2009 Carnevale is underway, and where Margherita Missoni flew over the Piazza San Marco for the city’s traditional Flight of the Angel. Obviously, she wore a specially designed Missoni creation, complete with some trademark knit wings, for the occasion. “When I was up there I was terrified, and immediately regretted ever having agreed to do it,” Missoni now laughs. “But after a few minutes of tears and saying no over and over, I closed my eyes and told them to do it. And then I was flying over Venice. Amazing. I could even see the mountains in the distance, and the 100,000 people looking up at me.” But she was looking for a few people in particular: “I could see my mother and my grandmother crying, and it made me so happy.”

Runway To Project Runway – Rachel Bilson Wearing Chanel Tights

Last week a pregnant Rebecca Romijn was the guest judge on Lifetime’s “Project Runway”, as the designers had to create stylish maternity wear. The week before in the premiere show, Lindsay Lohan judged red carpet gowns.

On last nights show Rachel Bilson was the guest judge.

The actress looked super cute wearing a white ruffled blouse, a black skirt and snazzy, patterned Chanel Fall 2008 tights.

You may remember in this collection the tights were uniquely half patterned/half opaque.

I’m impressed that Rachel has kept a pair of tights that long, most of us only wear them once before they ladder.

Ariel Winter In ASOS – ‘Excision’ Official Cast and Filmmakers Dinner

The last time I featured Ariel Winter she was all glammed up on the red carpet at the 2012 Golden Globe Awards wearing Dolce & Gabbana.

On Saturday during the 2012 Sundance Film Festival, she attended the ‘Excision’ Official Cast and Filmmakers Dinner at the Bing Bar in Park City, Utah wearing an ASOS drop-waist dress.

Her cute bubblegum pink dress with a pussy bow detail around the neckline was teamed with black tights and black booties.

This casual, inexpensive, comfortable, youthful look is perfect for Ariel and event appropriate.

It’s refreshing to see a teen wearing a look that her teen fans can relate to and also afford to buy, as Ariel’s dress is available to purchase for only $24 from ASOS.com.
